♦ Present Continuous Tense ♦
Present Continuous Tense is used to talk about going on actions .
Structure of sentences while speaking about actions going on in the present
We + are + v 1 + ing + obj + Extra words
ఇంగ్లిష్ సంభాషణలో tenses ఎంతో కీలకమైనవి .
* ఇచ్చిన సంభాషణలో are looking / are doing / are advising / are coming ….
* ఈ are + v 1 + ing verb forms (present continuous / present progressive tense అంటారు )
* are + v 1 + ing ఇప్పుడు జరుగుతున్న పనులకు వాడతాం .
* are + v 1 + ing టైం తెలిస్తే అంటే ఏ టైం , ఏ రోజు , ఏ నెల , ఏ సంవత్సరం , ఎన్ని రోజులు , ఎంత సేపు , అనే వివరాలు తెలిస్తే జరగబోయే పనులకు వాడవచ్చు .
How to Form the Present Continuous Tense :
The present continuous tense is formed with are plus the – ing form of the main verbs .
• We తో are వస్తుంది . తరువాత main verb కి ing form కలపాలి .
Rule : We + are + v 1 + ing + obj + Extra words
We are looking at- మేము చూస్తున్నాము
We are doing – మేము చేస్తున్నాము
We are doing now = మేము ఇప్పుడు చేస్తున్నాము
We are doing today = ఈరోజు మేము చేస్తున్నాము
We are doing there = మేము అక్కడ చేస్తున్నాము
We are doing right now? = ప్రస్తుతం మేము చేస్తున్నాము ?
We are adding = మేము జోడిస్తున్నాము / మేము కలుపుతున్నాము
We are advising = మేము సలహా ఇస్తున్నాము
We are accepting = మేము అంగీకరిస్తున్నాము
We are bathing = మేము స్నానం చేస్తున్నాము
We are taking a bath = మేము స్నానం చేస్తున్నాము
We are bringing = మేము తీసుకువస్తున్నాము
We are beating = మేము కొడుతున్నాము
We are coming = మేము వస్తున్నాము
We are coming back = మేము తిరిగి వస్తున్నాము
We are calling = మేము పిలుస్తున్నాము
We are cursing = మేము శపిస్తున్నాము
We are crushing = మేము చూర్ణం చేస్తున్నాము
We are drinking = మేము తాగుతున్నాము
We are digging = మేము తవ్వుతున్నాము
We are going = మేము వెళుతున్నాము
We are giving = మేము ఇస్తున్నాము
We are getting = మేము పొందుతున్నాము
We are profiting = మేము లాభం పొందుతున్నాము
We are hanging = మేము వేలాడుతున్నాము
Definition of Present Continuous Tense :
• An action which is going on at the time of speaking . = మాట్లాడే సమయంలో జరుగుతున్న చర్య.
• A temporary action . = తాత్కాలిక చర్య.
• An action that you have already decided to do in the future . = భవిష్యత్తులో మీరు ఇప్పటికే చేయాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్న చర్య.
examples of Present Continuous Tense :
We are holding = మేము పట్టుకుంటున్నాము
We are inviting = మేము ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నాము
We are imitating = మేము అనుకరిస్తున్నాము
We are telling = మేము చెబుతున్నాము
We are jumping = మేము దూకుతున్నాము
We are killing = మేము చంపుతున్నాము
We are searching = మేము శోధిస్తున్నాము
We are leaving = మేము వదిలివేస్తున్నాము
We are laughing = మేము నవ్వుతున్నాము
We are living = మేము జీవిస్తున్నాము
We are paying = మేము చెల్లిస్తున్నాము
We are proving = మేము నిరూపిస్తున్నాము
We are preparing = మేము సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నాము
We are pushing = మేము నెట్టివేస్తున్నాము
We are preserving = మేము సంరక్షిస్తున్నాము
We are reading = మేము చదువుతున్నాము
We are reading now = మేము ఇప్పుడు చదువుతున్నాము
We are reading right now = మేము ప్రస్తుతం చదువుతున్నాము
We are respecting= మేము గౌరవిస్తున్నాము
We are speaking = మేము మాట్లాడుతున్నాము
We are sleeping = మేము నిద్రపోతున్నాము
We are spending = మేము ఖర్చు చేస్తున్నాము
uses of present continuous tense :
1. Present continuous tense is used to tell an action that are happening at the time of speaking
మాట్లాడే సమయంలో జరుగుతున్న ఒక చర్యను చెప్పడానికి ప్రస్తుతం present continuous tense ఉపయోగించబడుతుంది .
2.Present continuous tense is used to tell action happening in the present, even if it is not done at the time of speaking .
Present continuous tense మాట్లాడే సమయంలో చేయకపోయినా, వర్తమానంలో జరుగుతున్న చర్యలను చెప్పడానికి ఉపయోగిస్తారు .

We are singing = మేము పాడుతున్నాము
We are shaking = మేము వణుకుతున్నాము
We are stealing = మేము దొంగిలిస్తున్నాము

We are warning = మేము హెచ్చరిస్తున్నాము
We are thinking about it = మేము దాని గురించి ఆలోచిస్తున్నాము
We are training = మేము శిక్షణ పొందుతున్నాము
Note :
కొన్ని verbs విషయంలో ఆ verbs చెప్పే పని ఇప్పుడు జరుగుతున్నా వాటిని are + v 1 + ing రూపం లో వాడం . అందుకు బదులు simple present form లోనే చెబుతాం . ఈ క్రింది verb లకు continuous రూపం లేదు . అంటే ing form వుండదు . కాబట్టి present simple గాను లేదా present continuous గాను గుర్తించాలి .

పై list లో ఇచ్చిన verbs ని ఎప్పుడూ are + v 1 + ing form లో వాడం .
ing does not come everywhere. __ ing అన్ని చోట్లా రాదు .
* verbs expressing feelings , emotions and actions of the mind ఎప్పుడూ are + v 1 + ing రూపం లో వాడం .
* మనసుకు , భావాలకు , మన బుద్దికి , ఆలోచనలకు సంబంధించిన విషయాలను తెలిపే verb లకు are + v 1 + ing రూపం లో వాడం .
వాటిని అలా వాడాల్సినప్పుడు simple present form లో వాడతాం . అంటే love / loves , know / knows , ….form లో వాడతాం .
1. మేము ఒప్పుకుంటున్నాము = We agree
( We are agreeing కాదు . ఒప్పుకోవడం ఇప్పుడు జరుగుతున్నా సరే .)
2. మేము ఆశ్చర్యపడుతున్నాము = We astonish (are astonishing కాదు ).
పై list లో మిగతా verbs కు కూడా ఇదే rule .
ముఖ్య విషయం :
పైన చెప్పిన verbs విషయం లో liking , loving , thinking , understanding …. etc. ing forms ను సందర్భాన్ని బట్టి వాడవచ్చు .
