Present Continuous Tense :
Present Continuous Tense is used to talk about going on actions .
Structure of sentences while speaking about actions going on in the present .
They + are + v 1 + ing + obj + Extra words
ఇంగ్లిష్ సంభాషణలో tenses ఎంతో కీలకమైనవి .
* ఇచ్చిన సంభాషణలో are studying / are walking / are singing / are working ….
* ఈ are + v 1 + ing verb forms (present continuous / present progressive tense అంటారు )
* are + v 1 + ing ఇప్పుడు జరుగుతున్న పనులకు వాడతాం .
* are + v 1 + ing టైం తెలిస్తే అంటే ఏ టైం , ఏ రోజు , ఏ నెల , ఏ సంవత్సరం , ఎన్ని రోజులు , ఎంత సేపు , అనే వివరాలు తెలిస్తే జరగబోయే పనులకు వాడవచ్చు .
How to Form the Present Continuous Tense :
The present continuous tense is formed with are plus the – ing form of the main verbs .
They తో are వస్తుంది . తరువాత main verb కి ing form కలపాలి .
Rule : They + are + v 1 + ing + obj + Extra words
They are looking at- వారు చూస్తున్నారు
They are doing – వారు చేస్తున్నారు
They are doing now = వారు ఇప్పుడు చేస్తున్నారు
They are doing today = ఈరోజు వారు చేస్తున్నారు
They are doing tonight = ఈ రాత్రికి వారు చేస్తున్నారు
They are doing there = వారు అక్కడ చేస్తున్నారు
They are doing right now? = ప్రస్తుతం వారు చేస్తున్నారు
They are adding = వారు జోడిస్తున్నారు / వారు కలుపుతున్నారు
They are advising = వారు సలహా ఇస్తున్నారు
They are accepting = వారు అంగీకరిస్తున్నారు
They are bathing = వారు స్నానం చేస్తున్నారు
They are taking a bath = వారు స్నానం చేస్తున్నారు
They are bringing = వారు తీసుకువస్తున్నారు
They are beating = వారు కొడుతున్నారు
They are coming = వారు వస్తున్నారు
They are coming back = వారు తిరిగి వస్తున్నారు
They are calling = వారు పిలుస్తున్నారు
They are cursing = వారు శపిస్తున్నారు
They are crushing = వారు చూర్ణం చేస్తున్నారు
They are congratulating = వారు అభినందిస్తున్నారు
They are drinking = వారు తాగుతున్నారు
They are digging = వారు తవ్వుతున్నారు
They are going = వారు వెళుతున్నారు
They are giving = వారు ఇస్తున్నారు
They are giving me = వారు నాకు ఇస్తున్నారు
They are getting = వారు పొందుతున్నారు
They are profiting = వారు లాభం పొందుతున్నారు
They are hanging = వారు వేలాడుతున్నారు
Definition of Present Continuous Tense :
• An action which is going on at the time of speaking . = మాట్లాడే సమయంలో జరుగుతున్న చర్య.
• A temporary action . = తాత్కాలిక చర్య.
• An action that you have already decided to do in the future . = భవిష్యత్తులో మీరు ఇప్పటికే చేయాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్న చర్య.
examples of Present Continuous Tense :
They are holding = వారు పట్టుకుంటున్నారు
They are inviting = వారు ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నారు
They are imitating = వారు అనుకరిస్తున్నారు
They are telling = వారు చెబుతున్నారు
They are jumping = వారు దూకుతున్నారు
They are killing = వారు చంపుతున్నారు
They are searching = వారు శోధిస్తున్నారు
They are leaving = వారు వదిలివేస్తున్నారు
They are laughing = వారు నవ్వుతున్నారు
They are living = వారు జీవిస్తున్నారు
They are paying = వారు చెల్లిస్తున్నారు
They are proving = వారు నిరూపిస్తున్నారు
They are preparing = వారు సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నారు
They are pushing = వారు నెట్టివేస్తున్నారు
They are preserving = వారు సంరక్షిస్తున్నారు
They are reading = వారు చదువుతున్నావు
They are reading now = వారు ఇప్పుడు చదువుతున్నారు
They are reading right now = వారు ప్రస్తుతం చదువుతున్నారు
They are respecting= వారు గౌరవిస్తున్నారు
They are tearing = వారు చీల్చుతున్నారు
They are speaking = వారు మాట్లాడుతున్నారు
They are sleeping = వారు నిద్రపోతున్నారు
They are spending = వారు ఖర్చు చేస్తున్నారు
uses of present continuous tense :
1. Present continuous tense is used to tell an action that are happening at the time of speaking .
మాట్లాడే సమయంలో జరుగుతున్న ఒక చర్యను చెప్పడానికి ప్రస్తుతం present continuous tense ఉపయోగించబడుతుంది .
2.Present continuous tense is used to tell action happening in the present, even if it is not done at the time of speaking .
Present continuous tense మాట్లాడే సమయంలో చేయకపోయినా, వర్తమానంలో జరుగుతున్న చర్యలను చెప్పడానికి ఉపయోగిస్తారు .

They are selling = వారు అమ్ముతున్నారు
They are singing = వారు పాడుతున్నారు
They are shaking = వారు వణుకుతున్నారు
They are stealing = వారు దొంగిలిస్తున్నారు
They are sending = వారు పంపుతున్నారు
They are sweeping = వారు తుడుస్తున్నారు
They are saying = వారు చెపుతున్నారు
They are seeking = వారు కోరుతున్నారు
They are swearing = వారు ప్రమాణం చేస్తున్నారు
They are swimming = వారు ఈత కొడుతున్నారు
They are studying = వారు చదువుతున్నారు
They are studying now = వారు ఇప్పుడు చదువుతున్నారు
They are showing = వారు చూపిస్తున్నారు
They are starting = వారు ప్రారంభిస్తున్నారు
They are taking = వారు తీసుకుంటున్నారు
They are throwing = వారు విసురుతున్నారు
They are teaching = వారు బోధిస్తున్నారు
They are thinking = వారు ఆలోచిస్తున్నావు
They are thinking about me = వారు నా గురించి ఆలోచిస్తున్నారు

They are trying = వారు ప్రయత్నిస్తున్నారు
They are writing = వారు రాస్తున్నారు
They are writing to me = వారు నాకు వ్రాస్తున్నారు
They are writing to us = వారు మాకు వ్రాస్తున్నారు
They are writing to them = వారు వారికి వ్రాస్తున్నారు
They are writing to his = వారు అతనికి వ్రాస్తున్నారు
They are writing to her = వారు ఆమెకు వ్రాస్తున్నారు
They are writing to this = దీనికి వారు వ్రాస్తున్నారు
They are walking = వారు నడుస్తున్నారు
They are washing = వారు కడుగుతున్నారు
They are wearing = వారు ధరిస్తున్నారు
They are warning = వారు హెచ్చరిస్తున్నారు
They are thinking about it = వారు దాని గురించి ఆలోచిస్తున్నారు
They are training = వారు శిక్షణ పొందుతున్నారు
Note :
కొన్ని verbs విషయంలో ఆ verbs చెప్పే పని ఇప్పుడు జరుగుతున్నా వాటిని are + v 1+ ing రూపం లో వాడం . అందుకు బదులు simple present form లోనే చెబుతాం . ఈ క్రింది verb లకు continuous రూపం లేదు . అంటే ing form వుండదు . కాబట్టి present simple గాను లేదా present continuous గాను గుర్తించాలి .

పై list లో ఇచ్చిన verbs ని ఎప్పుడూ are + v 1+ ing form లో వాడం .
ing does not come everywhere. __ ing అన్ని చోట్లా రాదు .
* verbs expressing feelings , emotions and actions of the mind ఎప్పుడూ are + v 1+ ing రూపం లో వాడం .
* మనసుకు , భావాలకు , మన బుద్దికి , ఆలోచనలకు , సంబంధించిన విషయాలను తెలిపే verb లకు are + v 1+ ing రూపం లో వాడం . వాటిని అలా వాడాల్సినప్పుడు simple present form లో వాడతాం . అంటే like / likes , think / thinks , ….form లో వాడతాం .
1. వాళ్ళు నమ్ముతున్నారు = They trust
( They are trusting కాదు . నమ్మడం ఇప్పుడు జరుగుతున్నా సరే .)
2. వాళ్ళు అర్ధం చేసుకుంటున్నారు = They understand ( are understanding కాదు ).
పై list లో మిగతా verbs కు కూడా ఇదే rule .
ముఖ్య విషయం :
పైన చెప్పిన verbs విషయం లో liking , loving , thinking , understanding …. etc. ing forms ను సందర్భాన్ని బట్టి వాడవచ్చు .
