Present Continuous Tense :
Present Continuous Tense is used to talk about going on actions .
Structure of sentences while speaking about actions going on in the present .
It + is + v 1 + ing + obj + Extra words
ఇంగ్లిష్ సంభాషణలో tenses ఎంతో కీలకమైనవి .
* ఇచ్చిన సంభాషణలో is studying / is walking / is singing / is working ….
* ఈ is + v 1 + ing verb forms (present continuous / present progressive tense అంటారు )
* is + v 1 + ing ఇప్పుడు జరుగుతున్న పనులకు వాడతాం .
* is + v 1 + ing టైం తెలిస్తే అంటే ఏ టైం , ఏ రోజు , ఏ నెల , ఏ సంవత్సరం , ఎన్ని రోజులు , ఎంత సేపు , అనే వివరాలు తెలిస్తే జరగబోయే పనులకు వాడవచ్చు .
How to Form the Present Continuous Tense :
The present continuous tense is formed with is plus the – ing form of the main verbs .
It తో is వస్తుంది . తరువాత main verb కి ing form కలపాలి .
Rule : It + is + v 1 + ing + obj + Extra words
It is looking at- అది చూస్తున్నాది
It is doing – అది చేస్తున్నాది
It is doing now = అది ఇప్పుడు చేస్తున్నాది
It is doing today = ఈరోజు అది చేస్తున్నాది
It is doing tonight = ఈ రాత్రికి అది చేస్తున్నాది
It is doing there = అది అక్కడ చేస్తున్నాది
It is doing right now? = ప్రస్తుతం అది చేస్తున్నాది
It is adding = అది జోడిస్తున్నాది / అది కలుపుతున్నాది
It is advising = అది సలహా ఇస్తున్నాది
It is accepting = అది అంగీకరిస్తున్నాది
It is bathing = అది స్నానం చేస్తున్నాది
It is taking a bath = అది స్నానం చేస్తున్నాది
It is bringing = అది తీసుకువస్తున్నాది
It is beating = అది కొడుతున్నాది
It is coming = అది వస్తున్నాది
It is coming back = అది తిరిగి వస్తున్నాది

It is crushing = అది చూర్ణం చేస్తున్నాది

It is giving me = అది నాకు ఇస్తున్నాది
It is getting = అది పొందుతున్నాది

Definition of Present Continuous Tense :
• An action which is going on at the time of speaking . = మాట్లాడే సమయంలో జరుగుతున్న చర్య.
• A temporary action . = తాత్కాలిక చర్య.
• An action that you have already decided to do in the future . = భవిష్యత్తులో మీరు ఇప్పటికే చేయాలని నిర్ణయించుకున్న చర్య.
examples of Present Continuous Tense :
It is holding = అది పట్టుకుంటున్నాది
It is inviting = అది ఆహ్వానిస్తున్నాది
It is imitating = అది అనుకరిస్తున్నాది
It is telling = అది చెబుతున్నాది
It is jumping = అది దూకుతున్నాది
It is killing = అది చంపుతున్నాది
It is searching = అది శోధిస్తున్నాది
It is leaving = అది వదిలివేస్తున్నాది
It is laughing = అది నవ్వుతున్నాది
It is living = అది జీవిస్తున్నాది
It is paying = అది చెల్లిస్తున్నాది

It is respecting= అది గౌరవిస్తున్నాది
It is speaking = అది మాట్లాడుతున్నాది
It is sleeping = అది నిద్రపోతున్నాది
It is spending = అది ఖర్చు చేస్తున్నాది
uses of present continuous tense :
1. Present continuous tense is used to tell an action that are happening at the time of speaking .
మాట్లాడే సమయంలో జరుగుతున్న ఒక చర్యను చెప్పడానికి ప్రస్తుతం present continuous tense ఉపయోగించబడుతుంది .
2.Present continuous tense is used to tell action happening in the present, even if it is not done at the time of speaking .
Present continuous tense మాట్లాడే సమయంలో చేయకపోయినా, వర్తమానంలో జరుగుతున్న చర్యలను చెప్పడానికి ఉపయోగిస్తారు .

It is thinking about it = అది దాని గురించి ఆలోచిస్తున్నాది
It is training = అది శిక్షణ పొందుతున్నాది
Note :
కొన్ని verbs విషయంలో ఆ verbs చెప్పే పని ఇప్పుడు జరుగుతున్నా వాటిని is + v 1 + ing రూపం లో వాడం . అందుకు బదులు simple present form లోనే చెబుతాం . ఈ క్రింది verb లకు continuous రూపం లేదు . అంటే ing form వుండదు . కాబట్టి present simple గాను లేదా present continuous గాను గుర్తించాలి .

పై list లో ఇచ్చిన verbs ని ఎప్పుడూ is + v 1 + ing form లో వాడం .
ing does not come everywhere. __ ing అన్ని చోట్లా రాదు .
* verbs expressing feelings , emotions and actions of the mind ఎప్పుడూ is + v 1 + ing రూపం లో వాడం .
* మనసుకు , భావాలకు , మన బుద్దికి , ఆలోచనలకు , సంబంధించిన విషయాలను తెలిపే verb లకు is + v 1 + ing రూపం లో వాడం . వాటిని అలా వాడాల్సినప్పుడు simple present form లో వాడతాం . అంటే like / likes , think / thinks , ….form లో వాడతాం .
1. అది నిర్ణయిస్తుంది = It decides
( It is deciding కాదు . నిర్ణయించటం ఇప్పుడు జరుగుతున్నా సరే .)
2. అది అసూయపడుతూ ఉంది = It envies ( is enving కాదు ).
పై list లో మిగతా verbs కు కూడా ఇదే rule .
ముఖ్య విషయం :
పైన చెప్పిన verbs విషయం లో liking , loving , thinking , understanding …. etc. ing forms ను సందర్భాన్ని బట్టి వాడవచ్చు .
